P2P.ie Review: The Denis Murphy-trained On The Bandwagon shaped with plenty of promise when finishing second in the four-year-old geldings’ maiden at Monksgrange. Ridden by Jamie Codd, the son of Oscar was given a patient ride before making steady progress inside the final mile. The €30,000 Land Rover sale graduate kept on well in the home straight, doing his best work at the finish. Considering that this contest was run at a very strong gallop and that the winner pulled clear from a fair way out, this was certainly a promising debut from the bay. Going forward he is sure to make his mark felt under rules.
