Having quickened up smartly off the front, she battled hard in the closing stages to see off a strong challenge from the eventual runner-up. It is worth noting that the front pair pulled well clear of the field, with a couple of previously placed mares’ well beaten in behind. This €38,000 store looks to be a very smart sort and could develop into an exciting prospect under rules.
