Having parted company with his rider on his opening two competitive outings, Fridaynightlights appeared better suited by making the running when finishing third on his first completed start at Dawstown earlier this month as he jumped with much greater fluency. Once headed after the third-last, the bay gelding was unable to match the front pair inside the closing stages, however to his credit he continued to stay-on and was ultimately beaten by just over 8 lengths in what looked a competitive contest. Out of a Presenting mare who is a full-sister to Grade 1 winner Jessies Dream he should be well capable of building upon this promise.
