The Milan-mare Lenten Rose is a well-bred type who is out of a half-sister to the Grade 1 RSA Chase third Battlecry and Grade 2 winner Value At Risk, and she has backed-up that pedigree with a progressive start to her racing career this season in four-year-old maiden’s. Eighth on debut at Inch behind Big Robin, when 2 lengths in arrears of Mere Detail, there was again little separating the pair when they met once again at Curraheen. Jumping the last upsides and holding every chance, Lenten Rose was only run out recording her maiden success up the run-in and is clearly progressing all the time.
