Fiscal Space has to be considered a most unfortunate looser following his debut effort at Ballysteen as he had just taken up a narrow advantage approaching the final fence, where a mistake at the final fence proved costly as his rider also became unbalanced a number of strides after the fence, allowing the eventual winner to once again hit the front. Only for that mistake, he would have been a tough opponent to pass. Maiden success looks assured for him following this opening effort and he looks a sharp type who can certainly drop back to become a successful middle distance track performer.
