Glen Rocco raced prominently on his debut at Killeagh in very testing ground conditions, and whilst he was pulled-up, there was real encouragement to be taken from the signs which he had shown prior to understandably tiring on the final circuit. A four month break and a switch to a quicker surface appeared to work wonders for the son of Shirocco as the favourite benefitted from a change of tactics which saw him restrained in rear, before picking-up the running before the final fence and galloping clear of his main rival on the run-in returning a cosy victor by 4 lengths. Great confidence has to be taken also from the fact that there was a further 25 lengths back to the third horse.
