Shark Saurez won at the second time of asking when taking the confined maiden at Borris by three length. Having finished third on his debut the son of Stowaway raced in second position on this outing. Jumping well he appeared to relish the testing underfoot conditions. Looking a little babyish as the race began to develop the five year old found plenty for pressure on the run to the line putting in a fine staying performance. The five year old is out of an Old Vic mare who won a point to point, two bumpers and a maiden hurdle for John Kiely.
