P2P.ie Review Western Fiona was somewhat unlucky to have made her debut at Ballindenisk in early January as it proved to be one of the most competitive mares races of the season with multiple form boosts in subsequent weeks, including from the race winner Nada To Prada, who realised £65,000 when sold and then remained unbeaten by winning a Warwick Bumper on her rules debut. Meanwhile of the five horses that finished behind Nada To Prada at Ballindenisk, four have since won their maidens including Western Fiona who opened her account just a month later on her very next start at Ballyvodock. Justifying her favourites tag, the close relation of 2011 Tommy Whittle Chase runner-up Our Island, overcame some trouble in running to fend off persistent challengers by just under two lengths. Whilst the season was ended just a matter of weeks later, the fourth horse has since got her head in front to provide an early form boost.
