P2P.ie comment: The Ogle Gogle Man heads to the sales having gained a deserved success on his fifth attempt on the pointing circuit. Trained by Pat Doyle, the Yeats gelding posted his best effort before winning, when finishing third in a five-year-old geldings' maiden at Dromahane in late April. That performance marked him out as an improver and he duly got his head in front when last seen, winning a similar event by four-lengths under Derek O'Connor at Bartlemy. Having chased the leaders early on, he progressed to go fourth with three to jump. Produced to lead after two-out, he was always going best and was eased close home to win in fine style. The race was run seven seconds above the average recorded on the day. From the family of Aneyeforaneye who reached a rating of 131 over fences for Malcom Jefferson, the Ogle Gogle Man has been mixing it in good company since making his debut, finishing behind £300,000 Gigginstown House Stud purchase Poli Roi and £305,000 purchase Cool Getaway.
