Making her point-to-point debut in a two-and-a-half mile race at Cothelstone in Somerset last week this four-year-old filly showed plenty of potential. One of ten runners who came under orders, she was held up until moving closer to the pace with three to jump and was second turning for home. The pace-setting favourite was not for catching, but she made him work for victory before going down by one and three-quarter lengths. Both the well-bred winner – who had shown distinct promise – and the third, who was beaten 12 lengths, had racing experience. There seems sure to be improvement to come from this filly who has been prepared at a leading yard, and her page is not short of talented performers. Foaled by an unraced mare she is a half-sister to the useful handicap chaser Just Your Type – who has become a very useful point-to-pointer and winner of the prestigious Grimthorpe Gold Cup – while the second dam won nine races and has foaled six winners.
