Chasing the front pair as they took each other on up front from the home bend, it is a long way to the line at Ballindenisk, and it was only late on that he was asked for maximum effort. But after jumping the last, he reeled in the front pair at a rapid rate of knots to win snugly at the line by a length and a half. The €35,000 store purchase is clearly progressing all the time.
