PTP Review: This good-sized French-bred four-year-old, from the family of top-class staying hurdler Crystal D’Ainay, is a winner in waiting judged on his sole run when finishing a close fourth at a meeting in Dorset. Lining up in a competitive maiden point-to-point involving horses from a number of leading yards he led into the first bend, but was green, ran wide and lost a number of lengths. Soon back in contention he led narrowly heading into the final bend, but the eventual winner held the inner line and went clear to score by five lengths – he has since been sold for £50,000. Behind him Jongleur D’Ainay jumped the final fence upsides with two others, but tired on the run-in. He is out of a Lavirco mare whose dam won three races over jumps in France and was a full-sister to Crystal D’Ainay. Their dam foaled no fewer than nine winners.
