P2P.ie Review: Imperial Saint indicated that he had plenty of ability when leading the field out of the back straight on debut at the testing Armagh venue Farmacaffley, and he was done no favours when the eventual winner, a well-related €45,000 foal purchase, kept him tight on the home bend, costing him some momentum. Bouncing back from a disappointing run at Kirkistown, he returned right back to the promise of that debut when winning easily at Toomebridge. Making all in this adjacent hunts’ maiden, his jumping proved to be a real asset at a venue which can be tricky for a young horse, as he took control of the race with some swift jumps along the back straight, to such an extent that he could be called the winner before entering the home straight. He is clearly a progressive individual who is ready to win again.
