P2P.ie Review: A return to better underfoot conditions were sure to have played a big factor in the winning display that Thomas Mor displayed at Bartlemy earlier this season. After all, his career had started on a very promising note when he finished second to the now Willie Mullins-trained Dancing City on his debut in a Borris House four-year-old maiden before Christmas. He encountered softer conditions in each of his next three starts before making the breakthrough in the manner which had been expected following that opening effort when scoring by four lengths at Bartlemy. He showed good staying qualities to pick off the three horses that had jumped the second last in front of him before pulling clear to win going away at the line. His half-brother Erne River also started off with Colin Bowe, where he also won his maiden as a five-year-old and on his third start before progressing into a now 144-rated chaser who was sent off as an 11/4 shot for the recent Grade 1 Manifesto Chase at Aintree before falling at the tenth.
