Those mishaps were forgotten when, on his third start, he put in a fault-free round to win by 18 lengths, beating into second a horse from one of Britain's top stables. Bred by a stalwart of Goffs UK sales, the late Robert Chugg and his wife Jackie, Galassian is a half-brother to the tough campaigner Oksana out of a mare who was placed in France. Her dam was a full-sister to the top-class Jump sire Mansonnien.
