P2P.ie Review: Having fallen at Fairyhouse on his debut before the race had developed, Bold Light returned to that Co. Meath venue eight days later and proved himself to be none the worse for that fall when attempting to make all. The Leading Light gelding did set quite a steady tempo with just four rivals in opposition, and that ensured that speed was at a premium inside the final three furlongs. Tackled by the eventual winner when jumping the penultimate fence, he matched that horse all the way around the long home bend, where it was only a quicker jump on the part of Hidden Heroics which appeared to be the difference between them. Bold Light to his credit kept on all the way to the line ensuring he was able to secure the runners-up spot and should be able to go one better in the very near future.
