396. Gameface (IRE)

Ballyboy Stables (Denis Murphy)
Purchaser
Kieran McManus
£145,000

Updates

P2P.ie Review: Gameface produced a taking debut performance to finish third at Loughanmore to the exciting Malone Road. The good looking son of Oscar was waited with in rear before staying on well to finish best of the remainder of the runners. The Denis Murphy-trained gelding ran another creditable race on his next start to finish runner-up to the improved Monkfish at Stowlin in April. Ridden prominently from the off, Gameface quickened well with the leader on the run to the penultimate fence where he stayed on well to finish just half a length behind the winner in what was the fastest time of the day which was 13 seconds quicker than the days average. Gameface lost little in defeat and will surely not be waiting long to enter the winners enclosure.
