P2P.ie Review: Miss Delighted ran a cracker when second in the mares’ point-to-point bumper at Cork behind the exciting Portnablagh. The daughter of Getaway was ridden patiently before making good headway in the straight to lead from three furlongs out where she edged right and was just headed before the line by the progressive winner. Miss Delighted entered the race on the back of two point-to-points with her most recent start saw her finish third at Horse and Jockey in March where ran quite wide on the run to the final fence but still managed to finish just a length and a quarter behind the winner Ask Mary who has since won her next two starts in winners company. Miss Delighted is out of a half-sister to the Grade three winner Baily Rock as well as being from the prolific track winning family which includes Grade one winners Rock On Ruby and Double Dizzy. Miss Delighted looks like a mare that can develop into a smart track performer and will be a real addition to any trainer’s yard in mares’ races over the coming seasons.
