P2P.ie Review: It was easy to see why Rockstar Ronnie was considered Aidan Fitzgerald’s best hope of a winner on the opening weekend of the new season when he ran out a very easy victor at Oldcastle in September. That came at the first time of asking for the son of Stowaway who is out of an Alhaarth mare that twice won on the Flat (1m4f – 2m) and it was a very polished performance indeed from the front runner who was very eye-catching in the manner in which he turned on the pressure from the front on the run from the back, in a move that swiftly found his rivals flat footed. From there none of the 13 horses who jumped off with him were able to get close to landing a serious blow as he returned six lengths clear of a much more experienced rival, when in truth also more than a class above.
