P2P.ie Review: American Legacy produced a very impressive jumping performance for a first-time out four-year-old when he made a winning debut at Oldcastle, a venue that his handler Mick Goff has done particularly well at with his young horses – winning four-year-old races at the course in 2018 and 2019 with Cenotice and Ballinsker. This son of Shirocco made his move to the front after the opening mile and it was from here that his fencing proved to be a real asset, with a notable leap at the penultimate fence on the crucial climb to the home straight beginning his move clear of his rivals as he went on to score by three lengths over a close relation of the eight-time track scorer Robin De Carlow.
