P2P.ie Review: Rossbeigh Strand, having pulled up on his only previous start in a Dromahane auction maiden last season ran out an impressive winner at Aghabullogue when returning home a widening 14 lengths in front of Straight Swap. The son of Mahler was bounced out in front by James Hannon and made all of the running, he readily drew clear from his rivals between the final two obstacles and asserted on the flat when on route to the penultimate fence to win as he pleased. This five-year-old, who clearly favours softer ground conditions, hails from the same family as Grade 1 novice chase winner Alexander Taipan and should progress sufficiently on this evidence to make his mark over middle to longer distances on the racetrack. This likable type is a progressive sort who could well develop into a decent prospect for new connections in the future.
