P2P.ie Review: The smartly bred Alfred Roller has to be considered quite unfortunate on his debut when finishing third, beaten just 4 lengths, as he was hampered by a loose horse approaching the home bend when his rider had to check his momentum in order to avoid being carried out which cost him the advantage that he was holding at the time. The Mahler gelding was on the back foot from that point as he met with that trouble in running at a crucial point in the race. Morgan, who was upsides him when departing at the third-last, has franked the form by finishing third in a €100,000 Bumper at the Fairyhouse Irish National meeting just 7 days after that run at Liscarroll, and there was a lot to like about that opening effort.
