28. Grain De Folie (FR)

£45,000

Updates

P2P.ie Review: Grain De Folie had made his debut in a top class Borris House maiden in the spring which has recently produced the £310,000 seller Guily Billy, and he became the latest horse to come out of that race and produce a smart performance when finishing second at Stradbally on Sunday. Following heavy overnight rain, conditions proved to be challenging, particularly for young horses, however Grain De Folie adapted well to the conditions as he attempted to make all of the running. The gallop that he set in the conditions had many of his rivals out of their comfort zones from quite an early stage, with just one of nine rivals that set out still in the race at the third last. Whilst Ozzie Man was able to overtake him in the home straight, it was likeable to see how gamely he stuck to his task, so much so that he was beaten by just two length at the line.
