P2P.ie Review: Press Your Luck reaped the rewards from a well-judged front running ride by Rob James, as having enjoyed an uncontested advantage throughout much of the race, he was able to set the tempo. This was a change of tactics to his two efforts from the spring, as James began to increase the tempo along the back straight, trying to stretch out what had been a tightly grouped field. The Doyen gelding had to prove his gameness when Flamenco De Kerser approached early in the home straight, but he fended off that initial challenge and then from a number of rivals in this tightly grouped finish, where five horses flashed by the line within three lengths of each other, to show a very likeable attitude.
