This looked a competitive race with some nicely bred mares involved and enough previous form to give a line on the depth of the race. The daughter of Milan, who is a sister to ten-time winning former pointer Ballybolley, was ridden behind the leaders throughout and progressed to lead before the second last where she further quickened away from her rivals to win by six lengths. The success saw her beat well-bred individuals with the second and third placed mares costing upwards of €30,000 each at the store sales.
