P2P Review: This four-year-old from Britain’s leading point-to-point made a winning debut in an eight-runner, two-and-a-half mile maiden race at Eyton-on-Severn in Shropshire on Monday. Ridden by top amateur Jack Andrews he tracked by six lengths a pair of early pacesetters until a good jump six out saw him close the gap. Three fences from the finish he jumped into the lead, and although making a minor error at the second-last it did not check his stride and he eased home by a widening margin for an emphatic victory. His time was four seconds quicker than that of the mare who won the mixed open race carrying 9lb less. A £30,000 store purchased at Goffs UK’s Spring Sale, Wicked Thoughts has become the third winner for his dam. His full-brother Duke Of Luckley has won over hurdles and fences and there are two black-type earners under the second dam. This is the family of Mercy Rimell’s famous broodmare Artiste Gaye, dam of Champion Hurdle winner Gaye Brief.
