P2P.ie Review: Boss Man Fred overcame a less than ideal passage to run out a comprehensive winner in the five-year-old geldings’ maiden at Ballyragget in the hands of Harley Dunne. The good-looking chesnut was making his debut here for the Liam Kenny stable and was positioned in mid division for much of the contest. Having caught the eye travelling very smoothly into the contest, the son of Dubai Destination was tight for room on the run to three-out. To his credit the good jumping sort found plenty for pressure when asked for his effort, keeping on gamely over the last couple of fences to record a two and a half-length success. Going forward this likeable gelding looks likely to progress into a fine staying prospect under rules.
