Instant Replay narrowly missed out on recording a debut success as Broughshane earlier this month as the son of Fruits Of Love was only beaten by half-a-length. Always racing up with the pace, he showed a sharp turn of foot to quicken alongside the eventual winner Calino D’Airy on the climb uphill towards the home straight, in a move which caught the remainder of their rivals flat footed. Although defeated by such a narrow margin, this appeared to be a quality performance from the chestnut gelding as there was an 8 length break back to third horse. Impressively that was a more experienced rival who had brought the strongest form into the race having finished third, beaten just 5 lengths at Largy, whilst the fourth horse also had solid form behind him from that contest, which offers real encouragement to the performance produced by Instant Replay.
