After finishing seventh on his re-appearance in much more testing conditions at Ballindenisk in January, Fabrique En France very much delivered on the promise of that initial outing when he chased home none other than Killer Kane at Ballycahane. Delivered from off the pace with his challenge in the home straight, he cut through the field smartly, pulling ten lengths clear of the third by the line. With his conqueror from the Co. Limerick course having subsequently sold for £300,000, a defeat by just three lengths certainly catches the eye.
