£42,000

Updates

P2P.ie Review Out of a half-sister to the royally bred Grade 2 winner Locksmith, Karlie finished in contention when making an encouraging debut in a big field Kildorrery maiden, finishing a nine length fifth to Blue Sans in late February, before stepping up to return victorious at Ballyarthur the following month. Dropped out in typical Derek O’Connor fashion, the daughter of Schiaparelli moved from last to first over the course of the two fences in the back straight, and once turning for home she soon had the measure of her rivals to win a shade snugly at the line from an in-form runner-up, a horse that had finished placed in each of her three runs prior to the Ballyarthur maiden. The third added further depth to the race having finished just half a length in arrears of subsequent £260,000 seller Shirocco’s Dream at Borris House two weeks earlier.
