P2P.ie comment: Golan Fortune looked sure to post a more than pleasing debut until coming down at the final fence on debut at Ballyvodock. That effort looked solid and has been given a number of form boosts since, with a winner and two placed efforts coming from three of the runners in the field. The Golan gelding showed no ill effects from the fall, as he kept on bravely to get his head in front in a maiden at Curraheen in late April. Trained by Padraig Higgins, Golan Fortune always travelled well and kept on bravely in the closing stages to get his head in front, in a race run at a steady pace throughout being four seconds below the average of the day. Out of Ballyknock Alainn, he looks versatile in regards to ground conditions and a track career looks probable for the five-year-old.
