510. Wendigo (FR)

Milestone Stables, Ireland (Colin Bowe)
Purchaser
Tom Malone/Jamie Snowden
£70,000

Updates

P2P.ie Review: Wendigo was in the process of running a big race on his debut at Lingstown as he looked booked to finish a close second behind a subsequent £420,000 seller when parting company with his rider on the run-in. Sent off as a short-priced favourite to gain compensation at Monksgrange, his stable was under something of a cloud at the time and he was well held in third. But he gave a true reflection of his ability when bouncing back the following month when his stable were back in top form. Again sent off at the top of the market, he travelled strongly through the race before not cornering well around the home bend. That put him on the back foot, but to his credit he picked up strongly to recoup that lost ground and win going away at the line.
