P2P.ie Review: Patrick’s Wells showed really likeable progression between his opening two races which included a maiden success at Stowlin on Good ground at the end of April. This was a hotly contested maiden with no fewer than six horses tightly grouped jumping the third-last fence, and this son of Mount Nelson really thrived in the conditions as he picked up best to strike the front at the second last and was able to repel his three closest pursuers on the run-in. Encouragingly, the horse that would likely have finished fifth but for falling at the second-last has since finished second to already frank the form.
