P2P.ie Review: Ingenie is a French-bred daughter of Coastal Path who took a big step forward when coming out on top in a Fairyhouse maiden last month. She had to be tough, as this was a race run at a strong gallop from flag fall, a fact evidenced in only one of the ten races on the card clocking a quicker time than her, as her time was quicker than both of the four-year-old geldings’ maiden races. Wearing down the front quartet to the second-last fence, she swept around the outside of her rivals to hit the front entering the home straight, and although the runner-up briefly looked like she would come back at her, this grey picked up again to win going away. The third, who was beaten over 18 lengths, has already won her maiden to add further depth to the performance.
