P2P.ie Review: Plenty of respect has to be given to the performance that the progressive Similar Story produced at Grennan earlier this month. Second in very testing conditions at Ballyragget on what was her first in 12 months, she showed the benefit for that re-appearance run by stepping up to win by a wide margin, crucially on a much sounder surface. Well bred, as she is out of a full-sister of the once 161-rated eight-time winner Time For Rupert, she was put on the back foot five-out when a loose horse ran out in front of her, however it was notable just how quickly she made up the ground that the interference had cost her, and within two fences she had struck the front and soon had the race wrapped up. Not only did she triumph by 12 lengths, the first three home were separated by 42 lengths, notable given the good ground conditions, but the horse that she beat brought plenty of form into the race as it was her fourth placed finish which has to give real confidence to the performance that she produced.
