Notably on this occasion he was pestered by a lose horse through the early stages which undoubtedly did him no favours given the prevailing underfoot conditions in a race which clocked a time that was ten seconds quicker than the day’s average. Given that this effort came just 13 days after his opening effort in similarly testing conditions and he was able to produce such a level which suggests that he is certainly a game performer as he then maintained his 100% place record when third at Tattersalls the following month.
