Having finished sixth on his debut at Cragmore in February, the bay came to grief when in a close second at the final fence at Quakerstown on his next start. On his third attempt, the son of Westerner travelled smoothly into the race and looked the winner from the second last. Having eased a little when in front on the run to the final fence, the bay lost some momentum and thus, may be better value for more than the winning margin of two lengths suggests. Lightly raced for a six-year-old he may well continue to improve and could develop into a smart sort under rules in the future for new connections.
