Under the guidance of Rob James, the son of Cokoriko raced up with the pace for much of this contest and held a comprehensive advantage when left clear at the last, before quickening smartly all the way up to the line. Having cost £30,000 as a store, Fakir D'Alene is a first foal out of a three-time winning mare. This impressive performance which should see the gelding improve and develop into an exciting prospect on the track going forward.
