The son of Milan ran a creditable race on his debut at Ballysteen to finish runner-up to the impressive Quoi De Neuf and used his experience gained that day to claim maiden success. Ridden prominently throughout, Howling Milan took up the lead from the half way point and was never headed where he quickened well from his rivals before the penultimate fence to go and score by a comfortable six lengths. Howling Milan is out of Fantasia Filly who was as three-time winner in France who is also a half-sister to the former Grade one winner Tresor De Mai. Great confidence has to be taken from this performance that he is a potentially classy sort who looks like he could develop into an exciting youngster on the race track.
