421. Northern Bound (IRE)

Tildarg Stables (Graham McKeever)
Purchaser
Highflyer BS/Ben Pauling
£55,000

Updates

P2P.ie Review: Northern Bound ran a cracker when second on his debut in a four-year-old maiden at Loughanmore in May. The Graham McKeever-trained gelding was waited in rear before making progress on the final mile where he travelled well to go second before the final fence and kept on well in the closing stages to finish just half a length behind the winner, Tribesman Glory. One of six newcomers in the race, Northern Bound is from a stellar black type family as he is a half-brother to the Grade one winner Lord Scoundrel as well as the Grade one placed, Balnaslow. Having posted such a strong run, this well-bred gelding lost little in defeat and is a very likeable youngster with a lot to offer it seems.
