P2P.ie Review: Out of a Supreme Leader mare that enjoyed success on two occasions on the track, this Shantou gelding was a €45,000 purchase from the store sales, and he delivered on that investment by his connections when finishing second in very challenging conditions at Castletown-Geoghegan in October. Never too far away from the pace, Sean Doyle’s charge put up a very brave effort to chase home the previous Kirkistown runner-up, Grady Hollow, in a race which clocked a time that was no less than 22 seconds quicker than the average for the card. Given the conditions facing him, the advantage of a previous run that his conqueror held over him was undoubtedly a big factor, ensuring this has to be considered a very promising debut.
