P2P.ie Review: Having only got as far as the midway point before falling at the eighth in Moira on his return to action, Golden Roc more than made up for his early exit the following week when powering up the testing Tinahely hill to get his head in front on his very first completed outing. This 13-runner maiden at the Co. Wicklow venue saw a host of horses holding chances rounding the home bend, and once overcoming some slight traffic issues, this Shirocco gelding that is a half-brother of Sovereign Gold who won twice last season, really hit top gear over the final two fence to collar the long-time leader on the run-in. This game effort saw him account for some form rivals, including the runner-up who had twice finished placed including at Necarne three weeks earlier, and the third Dr Shirocco, who had a second to his name from Turtulla in March.
