Always positioned to the fore in division two of the four-year-old geldings’ maiden at the Westmeath course, once moving to the front early in the home straight, he very swiftly put the race to bed by defeating Cream Of The West, a horse that had looked booked for third at Toombridge before falling at the last, by eight lengths. There was further depth to the performance, with Coachman, a €60,000 son of Maresca Sorrento back in third.
