P2P.ie Review: Rockstown Native very much delivered on the promise of his eye-catching run at Kirkistown in November when winning decisively at Turtulla earlier this month. Patiently ridden in what was a very strongly-run 13-runner contest on his debut, he jumped and travelled well throughout and was given a nice introduction to come through and take fourth behind a winner who was subsequently sold for £120,000. He showed the benefit for the patient approach that was taken on his debut, as he immediately stepped up when bounced out on his re-appearance to make all of the running in Turtulla. He never had to be asked a serious question to comfortably get the better of a Walk In The Park newcomer and justify his position at the top of the market to win by five lengths. In truth, he is value for more than that winning margin as he won with what looked to be quite a bit up his sleeve and has the profile of a progressive individual who should easily add to his tally on the track.
PTP Review: This five-year-old son of Workforce recorded a quick time when winning a recent maiden point-to-point at Ampton in Suffolk. It was due reward for two promising runs on much quicker ground in the spring, and with a bit of ease underfoot he stepped up and ran out an impressive winner. Both placed horses put some useful form to the race, for the runner-up had finished second in a Ballingarry point-to-point and the third had run a cracking race on New Year’s Eve when runner-up a potentially very useful type at Horseheath in Cambridgeshire. Taita Hills, the son of a Beneficial mare who won a point-to-point and was placed over hurdles, is a half-brother to Starlight Cato, who was second in a point at Aghabullogue earlier this month.
P2P.ie Review: This progressive daughter of Leading Light had shown plenty of promise last spring and lived up to that promise when finishing a fine third behind Meet My Loreley in a competitive mares maiden at Lisronagh in November. She built on that effort when winning her maiden at Ballindenisk just over four weeks later. She made most of the running on this occasion and showed a willing attitude, she stayed on strongly from the back of the last to see off all challengers. It is also worth noting that the runner-up on this occasion My Reprieve has since come out and won. On her form to date, she will have little difficulty translating her ability under rules where she should have a fruitful career.
