The five-year-old, who was given a patient ride by Derek O’Connor in this nine-runner contest, began to progress nicely through the field on the long run from two out. He effortlessly started to pick up the pace before the penultimate fence, and once this obstacle was jumped, he started to pull clear of his rivals on the run-in, where he ultimately gained success over two horses that both finished second on their initial autumn starts.
