Robin des Theatre (IRE)
Updates
P2P.ie Review: Robin Des Theatre ran out an impressive winner of her five and six-year-old mares’ maiden at Tinahely on her only start to date. Ridden by James Walsh the daughter of Robin Des Champs was bounced out and made all the running, posting a very professional performance. The five-year-old demonstrated a nice turn of foot when increasing the tempo of the race, over the final two obstacles, showing a very likeable attitude, which saw her gain the upper hand over the more experienced Lawlor’s Choice, ensuring it was her superior speed that won her this contest. The Donnchadh Doyle-trained mare is a €20,000 Derby sale recruit and is a half-sister to the dual hurdle winner Colt Lightening, a horse that also showed promise at an early age by finishing second in a point-to-point in Britain on his debut. This bay mare looks open to plenty of improvement and should progress into a very smart recruit under rules.
