P2P.ie review: Out of a half-sister to Uimhiraceathair, a five-time winner under rules, Ask The Lady showed the benefit of her debut at Borris House when sixth in a competitive race, by stepping up to finish second at Dromahane. Sporting the colours of Gill Browne, the breeder of Andy Dufresne and Clondaw Rigger, Ask The Lady was never too far from the pace as she sat in behind the leaders before moving into the second spot in behind the eventual leader exiting out of the back straight. Jumping well, she ran right to the line as she chased home the standout form horse of the race, a mare who had jumped the last in front at Boulta a month earlier, only to come down on the landing side, ensuring she was all but a maiden winner entering into the Dromahane contest. Ask The Lady is clearly a progressive mare going the right way, and it is notable that her maiden clocked a time that was quicker than the second division of the four-year-old geldings’ maiden on the same card.
