UK P2P Review: This five-year-old son of Arcadio made a very promising start to his racing career when third in a 13-runner maiden point-to-point at Larkhill on January 6. Taking up the running heading to the third-last fence, he made an error and surrendered the lead, but fought back and was in contention at the final jump. At the line he was beaten just over two lengths by a pair of more-experienced rivals who had been placed in each of their two previous starts – the trio finished well clear of the remaining runners. Schooled and trained at a noted academy for young pointers, he is out of a mare who won and was placed in Irish point-to-points, while his second dam won over 10 furlongs on the Flat and was also successful in a two-mile hurdle.
