P2P.ie review: Darius Des Sources got off the mark at just the second time of asking when taking the six-year-old geldings’ maiden at Templenacarriga. The grey son of Irish Wells was given a patient ride on this occasion by Eoin O’Brien and caught the eye travelling very strongly in the back straight. Kevin O’Sullivan’s charge took up the running at the penultimate obstacle, before picking up smartly in the home straight to win by an easy five lengths. Considering that both the third and the fifth placed finishers had previously been placed, this was a smart performance in solid race, from a horse that should make his mark under rules.
