Dontbitedabait ran a cracker when second on his debut in his five-year-old maiden at Tinahely in January. One of six newcomers in the line-up, the son of Oscar was prominent throughout the fifteen runner field and stayed on well in the closing stages where he produced a strong challenge to the eventual winner. Finishing just half a length behind in the runner-up spot to a more experienced rival in Kapgarry, Dontbitedabait lost little in defeat on his debut. Out of Newcastlebeauty who is out of the talented Listed performer, Briongloid, this smart gelding lost little in defeat and is a very likeable youngster with a lot to offer it seems.
